PRIVACY & FAMILY CONTROLS
Pathway Scholars Academy V1 is a private testing release. Parent accounts create and control student accounts. The application stores parent email, password hashes, child-chosen display names and usernames, avatar selection, assigned missions, grades, XP, activity records and reward statuses on the configured host's MySQL database.
PSA does not request a child's email address, birth date or location. It does not include third-party analytics, advertising, public child profiles or payment processing. Student microphone recording, when used, remains temporarily in the browser and is not intentionally uploaded to PSA servers. Browser/device speech may be implemented by the user's operating system, so voice availability and local processing depend on that platform.
The active-minute counter estimates interaction time and is not a measure of attention or learning ability. Parents determine real-world phone privileges. Parents can export their children’s PSA activity or delete a child account and linked records from the live database through Parent HQ. Backups may have separate retention periods. Verified parent identity/consent workflows, security review and child privacy/legal review are still required before broader public onboarding. Parents can request account or data removal at info@pathwayscholarsacademy.com.
Parent unlock emails are disabled by default until sender deliverability is configured. Once enabled, the application asks the server mail function to submit a message, which does not guarantee delivery.
